Technology and Friendship

I was just thinking that with all the changes in technology, how much it has hindered friendships. You would think it would be easier to get a hold of someone with land lines, cell phones, e-mail, text messaging, My Space, etc. But now it is just easier to ignore people. I have a really hard time getting people to return any messages - no matter how I do it.

And then there is someone like me who has always had a hard time communicating in anything but writing. Technology has made me retreat more into introversion than ever before. But I still crave human contact. I will return messages. I am not going to retreat into rudeness. I can be a cynic, but I will not be rude.
